The other day Zane came up to me and with a smile announced he had a joke he wanted to tell me.
Then he started singing a well-loved children’s song:
Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream.
The second half of the song didn’t sound familiar, however:
Hah, hah, hah, eat a bowl of spaghetti.
A big laugh [...]
It is a rather rare for me to share candidly about our family on the radio. That’s happened on a three-day series about autism, though.

Last week I had a thoroughly enjoyable time splashing in puddles with Zane. He decided that, despite the light rain, it would be good to take a walk around the block. So we put on some rain gear, he hoisted his little Curious george backpack and we headed out for a nice time.
